Destiny 2: The Witch Queen
I was interested in this expansion basically from the beginning since I knew it was supposed to be a bigger one, comparable to Forsaken or Taken King. It does indeed add a lot of new stuff, namely the Throne World destination. So far after sinking somewhere around 50 hours into it and nearly 100%ing the first season of this expansion, I can truthfully say that I dig it! This expansion was supposed to release in 2021 before being delayed until February of 2022, which according to Bungie was due to the pandemic and challenges of remote..

League of Kingdoms
This is one of those typical "build up your kingdom and attack monsters and other kingdoms" games. The game utilizes 2D graphics with a lot of .gifs for the animations. The art itself is somewhat pleasant enough to look at, but won't drop any jaws. The background music and sound effects were pretty annoying to me personally, but luckily there was an option to turn it all off (I did). ''Image' 'This is what your kingdom looks like.'' The main differentiator of this game is the ability to connect a crypto wallet. You can then..

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker
This is the 4th expansion to be released for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. This expansion concluded the story ark that began in A Realm Reborn. I think it did it perfectly and I really enjoyed it. Story: As mentioned, this expansion concluded the story arc that began with A Realm Reborn. I feel completely happy with how they ended it (the game will keep going, just the original story arc has concluded). The new added locations were not as good as Shadowbringers, in my opinion, but they were still enjoyable and fun to explore...

Battlefield Hardline
This game was a bit different compared to older Battlefield titles like Battlefield 3 and 4. Firstly, it was mostly developed by Visceral Games rather than DICE. They still used the Frostbite engine which definitely made it mostly look and play the same. However, this time around the game is much more fast-paced and you have less health in multiplayer, meaning you will die much more quickly. Of course this means it is also easier to kill your enemies, if you're quick. It really all comes down to who saw who first, and who reacts first most of..

Outer Wilds
As I await the much anticipated 'ELDEN RING', I have heard many fellow gamers recommend a small space-exploration game that could scratch my itch in the mean time... What I actually received from this experience was bigger than I could have imagined, and they hype was absolutely true. After completing 'Outer Wilds', I can honestly say it has become one of the coolest gaming experiences I've ever had. If you have any inkling of exploring space or how mysterious the solar system can be, then you need to do yourself (and your future self)..

Battlefield 2042
This game still has a lot of fun Battlefield moments, which is why I gave it a '7 - Good' despite all of its flaws. I know 'many' people out there would disagree with this score, but I legitimately have had a lot of fun playing it with friends. I would not consider it an 8 because that would be calling it great based on the byte1ife scale. If you happen to be playing on Series X|S, PlayStation 5, or PC, it will support up to 128 players in Conquest matches rather than the 64 player limit from previous generations. If you prefer, you can..

Halo 2
After enjoying the hell out of the original Halo: CE, I was very excited as a kid to see this was coming out. This game took most of the goodness of Halo: CE and turned it up a bit, and it was a lot of fun. This rendition of Halo finally came with an online multiplayer experience on console - the original Xbox. While Halo: CE's PC version did support multiplayer (and at the time of writing, still gets a few hundred players online a day), the Xbox version 'just' missed that capability. The addition of multiplayer on consoles and not just PC..

Battlefield 2042
The first Battlefield game I ever played was BF 4, I loved it, I still play it, but this BF 2042 has so much potential. First of all, the graphics are great! If you have the Series X Version, you'll be pleased to see those graphics, I personally own the normal version and it still blows my mind with the graphics, my fiancee has the series X version and it looks so incredible, the sound effects are just perfect, there are still not so many options for guns, or vehicles but I really hope that they add more options, not too many maps but they are..

Mass Effect
Mass Effect really showed me what a sci-fi RPG can be, and consequently made me fall in love with the genre. The 'original presentation at e3 2006' was what drew me in initially, starting with the intro and BioWare's choice of style of futuristic soundtrack. Similar to Knights of the Old Republic, when communicating with NPCs Mass Effect lets you pick your responses from several choices. Some are aggressive/ruthless (Renegade), some are more nice/friendly (Paragon), and some are neutral. Many of these choices will affect side quests and..

Forza Motorsport 2
This was my entry into the Forza series, as I never got the chance to play the first one on the original Xbox. Right off the bat, I noticed that this was not the type of racing game I was used to. You see, I was used to powersliding around corners at 200 mph in various 'arcade' racing games. But I had never before tried a racing 'simulator'. This definitely took some getting used to, and absolutely resulted in a rage quit every now and then. Keep in mind, this was before almost every racing game had a rewind feature. I have countless..

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Graphics: Nothing really to write home about here, I believe this game was made for the Wii U and then just ported over to the Switch. Regardless, the Switch isn't really a powerhouse for graphics anyhow. This game doesn't look bad by any means but the graphics won't blow you away either. Gameplay: A literal open world game with minimal direction/guidance. I do enjoy just doing everything as I see fit but sometimes I am really unsure as to what I should be doing. I do not like how weapons break, that gets annoying but it isn't too much of..

Destiny 2
First, this is a FREE game, and you should totally play it, online multiplayer, first person shooter, which I like a lot, you get to use different powers with your 3 different characters, you level up as well as upgrade armor, weapons, your ghost etc. There are challenges, tough ones that you could do alone, but it's also fun to play with other people in the multiplayer campaigns. The graphics are crazy! It looks so cool, and the sound quality is great as well, you should give it a try, if you don't like it, it was worth the try. But if you..

Assassin's Creed Valhalla
This is only the 3rd AC game that I have played (AC 3 and AC4: Black Flag). With that being said, I was itching to jump into 9th century England and ravage the landscape as a Viking! This game is really enjoyable and, as with any AC game, LOADS of things to do. The main bulk of the game will take place in England, however, you are also able to travel to Norway, Vinland (North America), Valhalla, and with the expansions you can now go to Ireland and Paris. Overall a great game and if you have played AC before you will know exactly what to..

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis
It's a real bummer because the graphics are pretty decent for a free MMO, but unfortunately the game is plagued by a lot of stuttering and lagging, even on a capable machine. I have personally not tried this on my Series X yet (where I presume it will run much more smoothly), and perhaps I need to try messing with the graphics settings some more, but honestly the lag is making this game unbearable to play. ''Image' 'The graphics looks great, but are vastly overshadowed by performance issues'' I really want to get further but simple..

Elite Dangerous Odyssey
Typing this on my phone so I can't get into too much detail yet, but this game is clearly very underdeveloped. It should have been worked on for a few more months before it was released. Honestly, the planetary graphics looked better in Horizons driving around in my SRV than they do now in Odyssey. The one thing I like is that you can walk on foot with no vehicles finally. So now there is this huge procedurally generated galaxy that goes all the way down to the inch. You do feel quite vulnerable whilst in the middle of nowhere on a..

Assassin's Creed Origins: The Curse of..
I couldn't believe how much content this expansion added! It adds the area of Thebes to the game, and with it the Valley of Kings. In the Valley you'll find the ancient tombs of some of Egypt's most famous Pharaohs, such as Akhenaten, Tutankhamun, Ramesses the Great, and the Queen Nefertiti. Basically, said great Pharaohs have been pissed off by a bunch of tomb robbers who have stolen many ancient artifacts from their tombs. Because of this, the Pharaohs have risen from the dead and are killing the people of Thebes to exact revenge. You..

Assassin's Creed Origins
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. As of the time of writing this review, I have about 3.5 days of playtime logged, including playing through both expansions. As much as I love 100% completing games, I did not manage to 100% this. I have many other games in the 'ol library that I still need to get to and not enough hours in the day! With that being said, I certainly didn't rush through the story mode and call it quits either. I have completed several dozen side quests as well. Many nights off after work were spent playing this game, so I..
