The servers for Battlefield Heroes were shut down on the 14th of July, 2015, alongside fellow EA free-to-play titles Battlefield Play4Free, Need for Speed: World, and FIFA World.

However, there is a project by the name of Rising Hub that re-enables multiplayer functionality, complete with web-based server browser.
